How do you feel about the Ford Crown Victoria Lx?
Im 16 and found a 1997 Ford Crown Vic LX, I know they are very reliable and safe, but what you think of them as you see, style, interior and power. In addition, I am not interested in the police version of this car, because they have a pretty design bad. Thank you, and to keep all materials, large wheels and sound systems are a waste of time and money and just look ridiculus.
As you said: they are reliable and safe. It is a proven design in the police and service the fleet, with a lot of aftermarket support, built Ford ship of these cars in the last 18 years (two generations of the model). And, because the model is very popular with an older demographic, you can often find examples used at a reasonable price that have been maintained and treated well. They are generally cheaper to insure than other models, due to its classification, the size and burglary rates. The 4.6 V8 is fairly bulletproof, easy maintenance and there are lots of folders fit and performance parts available, because it is common that Mustang. I like the look compared with the corresponding GM and Chrysler models. The police version comes with a few good performance / heavy duty treats not achieved with an LX, for example, increased HP engine, heavier springs, shocks, transmission, brakes, larger alternator, etc, but the facilities not match the LX. One option would avoid is the system of automatic climate control. These are not more prone to problems in the Crown Vic than any other model, but buries Ford controls on these deep in the dashboard – so that they are almost impossible to service. Dealer labor charges a lot of money in this work, I am the voice of experience in this.
